Richard
Richard's family surprised him with a very special party for his 80th birthday. The beloved Dad, Grandad and husband thought that he was going for Sunday lunch and he was pleasently surprised by his whole family. During the party there was time for a portrait of the main man. Here's the photograph and here's the portrait - I really like the shadows on this image which is fitting for a masculine portrait.

The photograph that inspires this painting was taken some time ago. It's of my lovely cousin, Sophie.

I love doggies! Oh my word, I can't even tell you - I want ALL the dogs! Anyway,
I can't have them all so I'll have to paint them all instead.
